Moral considerations aside, it is law, in Ontario at least, that an employement contract is invalid if it violates the law in some other regard, even if it's entered in good faith. Whether the complainant shoud have signed the contract in the first place, ethically speaking,is an interesting question. On the face of it, no --- at least I wouldn't have. But I don't know her original circumstances. Was she desperate for a job? Did she think her faith woulod help her I don't know. Thank you for commenting on my blog.
